Steinway & Sons has built the world's most sought-after pianos for over 170 years, each one assembled by hand from thousands of parts. This upright left the factory in 1916, in the era when the Steinway name became the standard by which every other maker was measured.

More than a hundred years later, it carries something a new piano cannot: history. The mahogany cabinet, the original ivory and ebony keys, the tone that only decades of settling can produce. Owning it means owning a piece of that story.

Our job is to make sure the next hundred years sound as good as the first.
