Built in what collectors call Steinway's golden era, this upright has been fully restored: restrung, rebuilt, and refinished to a deep satin black. Inside and out, it is like new, and it carries the tone and the name that only a Steinway can.
The satin-black case, the gold Steinway & Sons decal, the brass pedals.

By 1911, Steinway & Sons had refined the modern scale design that players still prize today, the reason collectors call this period the golden era of the American upright. This instrument was built in that window, and it carries the voice that made the Steinway name the standard.
We found it south of Dallas, tired and worn from a century of use, and rebuilt it completely. What was once an old, forgotten piano now looks as sharp as the day it left the factory, and plays like new.
It is an antique with a modern instrument inside it.
This Steinway was taken down to its bones and rebuilt. Here is what that involved.
Have this Steinway play itself. A QRS player system streams thousands of songs and plays live performances through your phone, fitted discreetly inside this antique cabinet.
This is one specific 1911 Steinway, not a model we can reorder. Once it's reserved, it's off the market. Come see it in the North Dallas area, and we'll hold it while you decide.
